Audi has released a sexy limited-run TT to celebrate the sport car’s 25th anniversary, but the 2023 Audi TT RS Coupe Iconic Edition will be a Europe-only proposition.
Just 100 examples of the special B-road-shredding sports car will be built and all of them are reserved for the European and UK markets, with Audi Australia confirming it won’t receive an allocation.
Using the established Audi TT RS coupe as a basis, the Iconic Edition is finished exclusively in ‘Nardo Grey’ and fitted with the usually optional ‘Aerokit’ which adds a dedicated front splitter, canards, intake blades, enlarged side skirts, a bigger fixed rear wing (carbon) and rear aero flicks.
Other unique styling features include ‘Iconic Edition’ lettering on the rear windows, gloss black 20-inch alloys and Matrix LED headlights.
The exclusive looks continue inside via a grey and black colour scheme with contrasting yellow ‘honeycomb’ stitching, ‘Iconic Edition’ seat embroidery and other trim accents.
Alcantara and Nappa leather has been used for the vast majority of the upholstery, including the door panels and steering wheel rim, while the gear selector is adorned with a numbered build plate.
A Bang & Olufsen premium sound system has also been thrown in, as have yellow-stitched RS floor mats.
No changes have been made to the legendary turbocharged 2.5-litre five-cylinder petrol engine, meaning the Iconic Edition develops the same 294kW/480Nm and still dispatches 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds with the help of the familiar quattro all-wheel drive system and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Where the limited-edition does rise above the standard TT RS, however, is in the top speed department – 280km/h versus 250km/h, thanks to a raised limiter.
Audi Sport managing director Sebastian Grams said the TT was an icon within the Euro sports car market and that the Iconic Edition’s name says it all.
“Thanks to the exclusive exterior and interior highlights, the much-loved performance of our ultimate sports coupe, with its multiple award-winning five-cylinder engine, is not only palpable, but also visible to fans,” he said.
UK pricing starts from £87,650 ($A152,925) drive-away.
