A new series of kids books called ‘Little Heros’ has been launched celebrating Bathurst legends Peter Brock, Dick Johnson, Jim Richards and John Bowe, as well as Australia’s first female and youngest rally champion Molly Taylor.
The five full-colour books are said to take motorsport loving parents and their kids and grandkids on a poetic ride through the highs and lows of the Aussie motorsport hero’s racing adventures.
Written and published by experienced motorsport media man Grant Rowley, the limited-edition books are available for pre-order now and will be released in July 2021.
The books will sell for $19.99 each plus shipping but due to the limited print run, they will sure to become collector's items for motorsport loving families to share for years to come.
Rowley says that he drew on his passion for the sport and his admiration of the stars in creating the Little Heroes collection.
“I’ve grown up with motorsport. Ever since I watched Dick Johnson crash through trees when I was two years old, not a day has passed where I haven’t thought about race cars,” he said.
“The Little Heroes books are my tip of the hat to these five superstars of our Aussie motorsport scene.
“Cartoons and drawings are another life-long love of mine. I guess I've never really grown up! I still love watching cartoons, and I feel there's no better way to celebrate the lives of these great drivers than through illustrations and some easy-to-read poetry.”
Each book features eight original pieces of artwork, directed by Rowley with the outstanding artistic contribution of celebrated design team Avoltha. You can pre-order yours today.
