Aventador J stars in Geneva — and cyberspace

Lamborghini's unique Aventador slew them in the aisles at the show and remains the most popular exhibit online

The results are in. Lamborghini's Aventador J has scaled the very peak of global internet traffic from its one and only showing at the Geneva motor show.

According to the Italian sports car manufacturer, more than 21.5 million searches for the vehicle were recorded by Google and Lamborghini's bespoke video for the car, "Aventador J — The Making of", was the most popular sports car video on YouTube during the week the show was open. YouTube views (in the category of 'Auto and Vehicles') numbered more than 280,000 for the Aventador J and Twitter posted more than 6800 tweets related to the car — for more than 40 million page impressions.

As our exclusive pictures reveal, the Aventador J is a dramatic looking beast, so it's understandable that it should be judged 'Best of Show' by Autoweek magazine and also generate enough online traffic at www.lamborghini.com to set a new record.

“We knew the Aventador J was something quite special, but we did not anticipate such an overwhelming reaction to the car,” said Stephan Winkelmann, the manufacturer's CEO. “We are pleased by the response to this vehicle and look forward to pushing the limits of design and technology for future products and generations to come.”
