Aventador SV to go topless at Pebble Beach

Lamborghini confirms it will reveal its fastest, most hard-core LP750-4 Superveloce Roadster at concours event

Following the confirmation Lamborghini was working on a roadster version of its fearsome Superveloce Coupe, the Italian car-maker has now revealed it will use the 2015 Pebble Beach concours show to reveal its lighter, more powerful, hardcore version of the Aventador roadster.

Limiting production to just 500 cars, Lamborghini has yet to reveal, officially, how quick it is or even how heavy, but it is expected to be powered by the same 552kW/690Nm 6.5-litre V12 as the coupe – up from 515kW/690Nm in the standard car.

That should help it along to 100km/h in around 2.8 seconds and on to a maximum speed of 350km/h.

The Coupe SV’s limited 600-run is now sold out and arrives in Australia in October priced at a cool $882,650 plus on-road costs.

Given the standard Aventador LP700-4 roadster, which is the most expensive Lambo currently available here at $795,000 plus ORCs, commands a $33,500 premium over the coupe on which it's based, the LP750-4 roadster could set a new benchmark above $915,000.
