Base Swift now in auto

Suzuki offers its entry-level Swift GA with the option of an automatic transmission

Suzuki Australia has announced it will now offer its base model Swift with an automatic transmission.

Previously available as a manual only prospect, Swift GA automatic will go on sale from this week for $17,690 (MRLP).

"This is a car offering better economy than many smaller-engined city cars, returning outstanding fuel economy of 6.2L/100km," said Suzuki Australia's general manager, Tony Devers.

"There are no compromises on safety either, with the GA the only entry-level car in class coming complete with seven airbags and stability control as standard.

"It features creature comforts including electric windows and mirrors, a four-speaker stereo system with USB connectivity and air conditioning as standard.

"And of course, it comes standard with Swift's legendary road handling ability and fun to drive performance."
