Bentley Continental GT Speed Breitling Jet special revealed

Luxury car-maker reveals seven 467kW special-editions inspired by jet display team

Bentley has revealed seven exclusive special-editions based on the Continental GT Speed and inspired by a North American flying acrobatic jet team.

Lifting its unusual two-tone paint job straight off the airborne display team’s L-39 Albatros jets, the new Continental GT Speed Breitling Jet Series Limited Edition also sports the same colour scheme within the cabin, even going as far as having the flying team’s logo embroidered onto its head restraints.

Just seven will be made, each individually numbered accordingly, and instead of a wood or aluminium dash, there’s carbon-fibre with an image painted of the seven jets in their trademark ‘Avenger’ formation.

Aside from the unique exterior and interior, under the skin the 467kW/820Nm 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine remains unchanged with the special-edition taking the same four seconds to reach 100km/h as the standard Conti GT Speed.

Bentley is keeping tight-lipped about how much one of the seven cars will cost and it's unlikely any of the seven will make it down here, but more information might be revealed at their official launch at the Boeing Seafair Airshow in Seattle on July 31.
