Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner makes debut

British luxury car-maker's latest Mulliner creation said to be the 'ultimate four-door luxury GT'

A new Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner was presented at the Monterey Car Week last weekend that's claimed to be the "pinnacle" of the British car-maker's luxury limo.

Said to be Mulliner's first electrified Bentley, the new luxury flagship is available not only with the plug-in V6 hybrid but also the traditional V8 and W12 powertrains.

Created for those who Bentley says "desire an even greater focus on details", the Flying Spur gets a set of exclusive Mulliner 22-inch wheels that feature a grey polished finish, plus centre caps that self-level at speed.

Up front there's a 'Double Diamond' grille, plus extra chrome used on the lower air intakes.
Other detail changes include Mulliner-branded front fender vents and satin silver mirror caps.

The Bentley Flying B mascot, meanwhile, is electrically retractable and illuminated.

Finally, there are jewel-like caps for the fuel filler and oil reserves.

Inside, there's illuminated treadplates, deep-pile mats and the choice of three-colour combinations for the cabin. All get embroidered seats.

The Mulliner Driving Specification has been added as standard, bringing the three-dimensional diamond leather to the door cards, 'diamond-in-diamond' leather quilted seats and chrome trim.

The centrepiece of the more luxurious take on an already plush Flying Spur cabin is said to be a brushed silver Mulliner clock.

Sports pedals, a digital instrument panel that incorporates Mulliner graphics, a heated three-spoke steering wheel and a panoramic roof are all standard.

In the second row there's now a pair of electronically folding picnic tables that lower and self-level at the touch of a button.

Bentley has yet to announce how much of a premium the flagship Mulliner versions demand over the rest of the regular Flying Spur range, which in Australia kicks off at $378,197 (plus on-road costs) for the most basic V8 S.
