Bentley Motors has released a new teaser for a model it has created to celebrate 100 years of car-making.
Confirmed to make its debut at the Geneva motor show in March, the single pic posted along with a short vid on its social media channels last night suggests the mystery model will be based on the current Continental GT coupe.
Painted in British Racing Green and featuring the famous number '9' stencilled on its large prominent grille the special commemorative Bentley sports a new badge with the subtle years '1919' and '2019' on either side of the trademark 'B' logo.
Created to pay tribute to the famous number 9 supercharged 4.5-litre Blower Bentley that competed in the 1930 Le Mans 24 Hours, it's thought the special anniversary model will preview a special edition that will be launched at the Swiss motor show.
As well as the anniversary model, Bentley is also planning to offer a Centenary Specification that will be available on all cars built between January and December 2019.
The Centenary Spec adds gold badging, '1919-2019' treadplates and gold stitching in the cabin plus the option of a gold paint job that's claimed to shine and reflect light like jewellery.
