GENEVA MOTOR SHOW: Bentley teases limited-run Bacalar

British luxury car-maker's Mulliner division teases pic of ultra-limited model it plans to unwrap next month

Bentley has announced it will unveil a new production car called the Bacalar at the Geneva motor show on March 3.

Teasing a single image of its intricately designed 10-spoke alloy wheels, the new ultra-limited production car has been created by Bentley's in-house Mulliner bespoke division.

The Bentley Bacalar is being heralded as the car-maker's new halo model and will be "offered for purchase only to a very few".

Little more has been revealed, but it's thought the new Bacalar -- which is claimed to be "Grand Touring at its most exhilarating" -- will pick up where the EXP 100 GT concept left off and become a new moving advertisement for Mulliner's coach-building talents.

Set to be based on either the current Continental GT coupe or the larger Flying Spur sedan, the Bacalar should be powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12, but it could produce even more power than the 473kW and 900Nm offered by the big coupe and limo.

Bentley is expected to continue to tease what could be the fastest car it's ever made in the build-up to its official unveiling at the Swiss show in a few weeks.
