Mercedes-Benz will unveil its new W222 generation of S-Class to a waiting world from this Thursday morning, local time. The three-pointed star will hold a ceremony in the German city of Hamburg to welcome the new, large luxury sedan to the product range.
The teaser images, the leaked pics and the spy shots have come thick and fast, to say nothing of the trickle-feed PR drip that has been sloshing out the end of a figurative fire hose for nearly a year.
But now that we've read all the information concerning the safety features, the relaxing ride comfort, the leading-edge audio systems and even the smell inside the cabin, the new car is soon to be revealed in all its undisguised glory.
We can expect the new 'S' to arrive in Australia very late this year, we're told. It's understood the importer will start work in July, tailoring prices and specifications to suit the Australian market ahead of the local launch a few months later.
