Australian Automobile Association Chief Executive Andrew McKellar said the annual Australia’s Best Cars program is designed to ensure consumers receive the best advice.
“Australia's Best Cars is an annual initiative of the motoring clubs of Australia and it serves as a valuable information tool for consumers looking to purchase a new vehicle,” he said.
“Purchasing a new car is a major and difficult decision, and our rigorous testing process allows the motoring clubs to offer independent and thorough information to consumers on all of the 210 models assessed.”
The testing process takes 12 months and finalists are also thoroughly assessed by 12 judges over a five-day period at the Australian Automotive Research Centre, where they will decide the category winners.
Award winners are to be declared at an event in Melbourne in November.
