BFGoodrich launches ultra-high performance tyre
G-Force Sport Comp 2 tyre released locally, following enthusiastic response in the USBFGoodrich's new G-Force Sport Comp 2 ultra-high performance tyre is now on sale in Australia.
On the back of strong acceptance from owners of high-performance cars in the USA, the new tyre is claimed to have outperformed its competitors for traction on dry surfaces, without sacrificing tread wear.
With a "racing style" silica-based "Comp 2" compound and a reinforced core construction, the new tyre is claimed to deliver 30 per cent better grip in wet conditions, along with an improvement of eight per cent in the dry.
Braking is optimised via a "sport" tread design that enables braking as much as 4.9 metres shorter than its competitors in wet conditions and 2.7 metres shorter in the dry.
The US-made tyre is available in 18-inch and 19-inch sizes, and follows the recent introduction of BFGoodrich's Advantage T/A Drive tyre.
