French hypercar-maker, Bugatti, has pulled the drapes off two new special editions based on the Chiron.
The Bugatti Chiron Noire Sportive and Noire Elegance both follow from the stunning La Voiture Noire one-off that was launched in March and both feature similar dark and moody styling.
Said to have been produced following interest from its wealthy customers, the special Chirons gets full exposed carbon-fibre bodies and a completely restyled grille that, in the Noire Elegance's case, now features a Bugatti emblem made of solid silver and black enamel.
Continuing the dark and moody theme, the huge brake calipers are finished in black that lurk menacingly behind a set of new wheels.
Only the Chiron's familiar C-shaped signature line makes a break with the pitch-black colour scheme as it's made from a single piece of solid metal that has a matte polish finish.
More polished aluminium is used on the rear-view mirrors and engine cover.
"Noire" inscriptions, meanwhile, appear on the side panels, just in front of the rear wheels and under the rear wing.
Inside, yet more black has crept into the Bugatti's interior as well as more Noire" signatures on the door sills and the headrests.
If you're wondering what differentiates the Chiron Noire Sportive, wonder no more.
Bugatti says visually, the sportier of the two specials gets a matte black finish on its exposed carbon-fibre body – something replicated for the aero pieces, C-shaped signature line, wheels and front spoiler.
The four tailpipes on the titanium exhaust are also finished in black while the brush aluminium finish on the Elegance are all darkened for the Noire Sportive.
Same goes for the interior that swaps out any brightwork for yet more matt black.
Under the rear boot lid, the Chiron gets the same incredible quad-turbo 8.0-litre W16 petrol that produces a herculean 1103kW and 1600Nm of torque.
That means it will be capable of scorching to 100km/h, from standstill, in just 2.4 seconds, 0-200km/h in 6.1 seconds, 0-300km/h in 13.1 seconds and top speed of 420km/h.
For an extra €100,000 ($A165,000) over the €3 million ($A4.9m) each of the 20 Noire Elegance and Sportive Bugatti plans to make, the French hypercar-maker will base the two specials on the Chiron Sport that is fractionally lighter (18kg) but is better to drive thanks to a whole host of chassis upgrades.
