Chrysler has launched the wagon version of its 300C. Available with a range of six and eight-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, the 300C Touring is priced from $56,990.

The 300C Touring shares its major specifications and styling with its sedan partner. The stylish low-profile wagon features a unique tailgate which incorporates a section of the roof for extra wide luggage area access.

Three engines will be offered initially -- 3.5-litre V6 and 5.7-litre HEMI V8 petrol engines and the Mercedes-Benz-sourced 3.0-litre CRD V6 turbodiesel engine (for more click here). Chrysler will also offer a high performance 300C Touring SRT8 powered by a 6.1-litre HEMI V8 later this year.

Standard safety features on the Chrysler 300C include Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and an all-speed Traction Control System, front and rear side-curtain airbags, Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps, rain-sensing windscreen wipers and a rear park assist system.

Climate control and heated leather driver and front passenger seats also come as standard on all vehicles in the range.

Touring models are priced at a $3000 premium over the respective 300C Sedan. The range starts with the 3.5-litre V6 priced at $56,990; $60,990 buyers the CRD and $62,990 the HEMI 5.7 V8.
