The first of BMW's new 3 Series coupés for Australia, the 325i and 335i, will arrive in October starting at $81,500 for the 325i with six-speed manual and $108,500 for the twin-turbo 335i, also with six-speed manual. Both models are available with a six-speed Steptronic automatic, which BMW says has been adapted for use in the coupés, for an extra $2600.
The 325i is equipped with a 2.5-litre straight-six engine rated at 160kW/250Nm and features bi-xenon headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, BMW Business navigation system, six-stacker CD player, rear park distance control, sport seats with electric adjustment and memory settings for the driver, automatic climate control and cruise control with brake function.
The 335i gets the new 3.0-litre twin-turbo boasting 225kW and 400NM of torque from 1300-4000rpm. Standard kit for the 335i includes sport suspension, 18-inch light alloy wheels, park assist front and rear, front seat lumbar adjustment, BMW Professional Navigation with colour monitor and TV, and adaptive headlights.
Also in the line-up the 323i Coupé, scheduled for showrooms this December, will be priced from $69,900 for manual and $72,500 for the automatic model. It will be equipped with the same 2.5-litre engine as fitted to the 323i Sedan and Touring models launched in Australia in June, but "in a slightly sportier state of tune".
