The 2018 BMW M5 has been revealed – in the virtual space, at least.
Teased in photos as part of its role in the upcoming Need for Speed Payback game due out in the November, this is our first unofficial look of BMW’s upcoming all-paw E63 fighter. The images were part of an email sent out to fans of the game last week.
Shown ahead of the M5’s official debut later this year, its frontal design subscribes heavily to BMW’s corporate styling language. The performance flagship distinguishes itself with aggressive air intakes on the lower portion of the front bumper, along with a gaping front grille.

The M5 has been spied testing and was driven in prototype form by our resident motoring.com.au Europe scribe Shane O’Donoghue last month. But its official styling is yet to be revealed.
The all-wheel drive M5 is set to be the fastest M-car currently on sale, with an ability to notch 100km/h from rest in under 3.5 seconds, according to BMW.
Despite that, the car’s 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 will be impressively efficient, sipping on a claimed 9.4L/100km on the European cycle.
