BMW is offering a limited run of 7 Series models with its 'Individual' paint range. Just 50 will be available in the 'Luminance Edition', with a choice of Ruby Black, Blue Onyx or Moonstone paintwork offered on V8-powered 7 Series models: 740i, 740Li, 750i and 750Li (non-Sport versions).
The Luminance Edition cars also get Nasca leather upholstery, Individual piano black interior trim, 'Active' cruise control, and 20-inch 101 Cross Spoke Composite M light alloy wheels.
Front and rear seats are heated, while the front seats also gain BMW's seat ventilation system. The 740i and 740Li models get upgraded seats, and 750i and 750Li models are fitted with a 'LOGIC7' sound system.
BMW says the Luminance Edition will offer exclusivity to 7 Series customers; apparently necessary now that sales of the model account for 26 per cent of the large luxury car market.
"We are certain this limited edition model will add even more lustre to the pinnacle of the market," says Tom Noble, General Manager, Marketing, at BMW Group Australia.
"BMW Individual is famous for helping owners create personalised automotive works of art. At this end of the market, customers know what they want and BMW is able to ensure they get it," Noble said.
The BMW 7 Series Individual Luminance Edition is expected to begin arriving in Australia from September. The option adds $9500 to the price of a V8-powered 7 Series.
