BMW spices up 5 Series

Professional and Exclusive option packs offer added value across BMW 5 Series range

BMW Australia has added value to its ageing 5 Series range with the addition of two option packages that are now available.

The ‘Professional’ pack adds head-up display, comfort access system, auto-dipping interior and exterior mirrors, lane change warning, ConnectedDrive Freedom, driving assistant, surround view, digital radio and multi-function instrument display.

All-up, it adds a claimed $12,700 of value to 520i and 520d sedan and touring variants for $3400 extra. As it already packs items such as the driving assist, the Professional package outlay for 520d Gran Turismo is only $2400, adding $7900 of value says BMW.

The higher-spec 528i sedan gains a claimed $5900 of extra value for only $900 with the Professional package, which adds lane change warning, ConnectedDrive Freedom, driving assist plus, multi-function instrumentation and seat heaters.

Step up to six-cylinder variants, and the 535i and 535d sedans, as well as the ActiveHybrid 5, gain $16,300 of claimed extra value for $3800 additional cost, thanks to the Exclusive package.

There’s an automatic boot, leather-bound instrument panel from BMW’s Individual line, exclusive nappa leather, soft-close door function, rear and side window sunblinds, comfort seats including active head restraints with electric adjustment, driving assistant plus, seat heating, lane change warning and ConnectedDrive Freedom that form the package.

For 530d Gran Turismo and 535i Touring variants, the package is priced similarly at $3800, adding $15,900 and $13,500 of claimed extra value respectively. That adds the Individual leather instrument panel, nappa leather, soft-close, comfort seats, driving assist plus, seat heating, lane change warning and ConnectedDrive Freedom.

Finally the 535i Gran Turismo adds similar features to the 530d Gran Turismo, providing a claimed $12,200 of added value for $3800.
