The BMW 6 Series isn't one of the German marque's best sellers, but it is an important halo model for the brand and new spy photos confirm an updated model is in the offing.
These spy photos snapped by Carparazzi's ninja-like photographers show a revised version of the 6 Series Cabrio undergoing testing, but the exterior design won't be given a huge departure from the current design, instead retaining its long and sleek coupe shape and profile.
The Carparazzi spies reckon "refinement will be done to every panel", although BMW's trademark psychedelic camo makes it hard to discern the smaller details of the design.
Interestingly, BMW will retain the cloth folding roof for the 6 Series Cabrio going forward, which doesn't provide as much security as a tin-top folding roof, but does deliver more boot space.
The updated BMW 6 Series range will be offered in 630i, 650i and 635d model types in Europe, and it is too early to say whether Australian deliveries will include the six-cylinder models, or just the V8-powered 650i, as is currently the case.
