BMW Australia is introducing yet another limited-edition to its local range in the form of the 2022 BMW X6 Black Vermillion Edition, of which just five units are destined for our market – all priced from $208,900 drive-away.
Based on the penultimate BMW X6 M50i variant, the Black Vermillion Edition has been kitted out with a raft of BMW Individual goodies both inside and out, with the stars of the show being the metallic black paint finish and red kidney grille.
Said grille also features BMW’s ‘Iconic Glow’ illumination to contrast against the all-black body and matching 22-inch alloy wheels. Standard privacy glass finishes off the stealth look and alludes to the all-black interior.
Standard features and interior creature comforts exclusive to the Black Vermillion Edition (over the standard X6 M50i) include black Merino leather upholstery, panoramic sunroof, black Alcantara headliner, ventilated comfort seats, ‘CraftedClarity’ glass application, velour floor mats, ‘Fineline Black’ trim with aluminium insert and an ‘Edition Black Vermillion’ badge on the centre console.
Befitting of such a sinister looking thing, BMW is quoting a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 4.3 seconds, with power and torque coming from the familiar 390kW/750Nm 4.4-litre twin-turbo petrol V8.
As with all BMW X6s M50i, drive is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 2022 BMW X6 Black Vermillion Edition is available as of today via the online BMW shop, where interested parties will be asked to front a $5000 reservation fee and nominate their preferred dealer for the delivery process.
“Once the vehicle allocation has been secured, the preferred BMW dealer liaises with the customer through the entire process and arranges delivery and handover,” said BMW Australia today.
