German tuning firm Brabus has unveiled its Startech conversion kit for the Land Rover Discovery Sport, delivering cosmetic and performance enhancements for the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel variants.
Sitting on 30mm lower suspension, the Startech Discovery Sport rides on "tailor-made" 22-inch alloys shod with 265/35 tyres, and features high-grade plastics for its aftermarket body kit. According to Brabus, the plastics match OEM components for quality. An integral part of the body kit is the LED daytime running lights.
A range of interior enhancements are integral to the package.
The PowerXtra SD22 performance chip for the Discovery Sport is a plug-and-play unit and can be installed by a reputable Land Rover workshop in "about an hour". It raises performance from 140kW and 420Nm to 155kW and 460Nm. Brabus claims the performance gain means paring back the car's 0-100km/h time to 8.9 seconds.
The company provides a three-year/100,000km warranty for the engine tune and is already hard at work on a similar plug-and-play performance upgrade for the 2.0-litre Ingenium turbo-diesel that's understood to be on the way.
