Bugatti chief executive Stephan Winkelmann has denied rumours the car-maker is secretly developing an SUV to battle cars like the Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
"There will be no SUV from Bugatti," said Winkelmann before adding that "an SUV would not do justice to the brand or its history".
Making the announcement as part of Bugatti's 110th anniversary, the former Lamborghini CEO, who was believed to have been part of the decision-making process that green-lit the Urus SUV for production, also confirmed he and his team had prepared a "few surprises" for 2019.
Confirming a celebratory tour to commemorate its founder, Ettore Bugatti, Winkelmann said this year we'll also see "further models" presented.
This has triggered rife speculation that Bugatti may use the Geneva motor show to spin off another variant of the Chiron, or more recently launched Divo.
Back in 2016, Bugatti ruled out creating a roadster or targa-top version of the Chiron but an open air version of the Divo could be on the cards; that, or another rebodied version of the Chiron itself.
Confirming the ultra-limited run of just 40 Divo models had sold out, despite changing hands for a hefty €5 million ($A8 million) each, Winkelmann confirmed the Divo production would begin in 2019 at the car-maker's Molsheim plant ahead of customer deliveries in 2020.
Bugatti's president also confirmed that, in 2018, the car-maker made a total of 76 Chirons and the current batch of cars is sold out until the end of 2021.
