Bugatti has teased an aerodynamic detail from the all-new virtual concept hypercar that it will reveal at the Frankfurt motor show.
Revealed on its official Twitter feed, the image of a NACA inlet air intake is said to be “both an essential aerodynamic element and iconic feature” of the new concept for the Gran Turismo game.
For non-gamers the new Vision concept could prove an exciting glimpse into the future direction of the hypercar brand's styling that will appear later on its replacement for the Veyron.
The new Chiron hypercar has already been spotted testing in the US.
Set to get a new development on the current car’s 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16, the Bugatti Veyron-replacement is also expected to get hybrid assistance.
Volkswagen Group boss Martin Winterkorn has previously publicly stated that a hybrid would be offered alongside turbo-petrol models, and power is expected to be hiked from the outgoing Veyron’s from 883kW to more than 1100kW.
Based on a new carbon-fibre monocoque, the next Bugatti will once again be a luxurious two-seater vehicle despite the incredible performance on tap.
Sales are not expected until 2018, but a preview of the new model could happen late in 2016 or early in 2017. Expect a seven-figure price tag.
