Bugatti has cheekily released an online Christmas card that reveals the side profile of its all-new Chiron hypercar.
Set to be unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March 2016 the teaser, published late last night on social media, doesn’t give much away other than the new hypercar appears to take styling cues from the curvaceous Veyron it replaces.
Little is known about the future Chiron that’s thought to be inspired by the Frankfurt motor show’s Vision Gran Turismo concept.
The new Bugatti hypercar is likely to use a development of the monster 1118kW, 8.0-litre, W16 quad turbo engine from the Veyron, coupled to a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.
It will be built around a new carbon-fibre monocoque that will share obvious lineage with the Veyron, but will be lighter and more agile.
Sources say it won’t lose anything in terms of luxury or speed, with a highly luxurious cabin that will come with cutting-edge connectivity.
So far, according to the French hypercar-maker, it has received more than 100 pre-orders for the Chiron that will include a targa version. Total production is expected to be around 500 cars.
