Luxury Italian fashion brand Bulgari has revealed a stunning new concept for its roofless racer that will compete in the Gran Turismo gaming franchise.
Unwrapped at this year’s Gran Turismo World Series Finals in Barcelona, the Bulgari Aluminium Vision GT was inspired by the Bulgari Aluminium watch the company has made since 1998.
According to the designers, the watch and concept car have similar design cues, materials and colours, while the barchetta body style is claimed to echo the watch’s sportiness, lightness and performance.

Bulgari’s designers have also admitted that some of the geometrical shapes incorporated into the Aluminium Vision GT borrow from the Italian car styling tradition, which explains the clear influence from cars like the Lamborghini Countach and Lancia Stratis that were both penned by Marcello Gandini.
It also helped that Bulgari teamed up with Fabio Filippini, the former design boss of famous Italian stylist Pininfarina.
Inside, the Aluminium Vision GT gets a traditional three-spoke steering wheel and a cabin architecture that’s said to reference 1960s and ’70s concept cars from Italian Carrozzeria.
There’s no information on what would power the Bulgari Aluminium Vision GT in the real world, but it will be added to the new Gran Turismo 7 line-up in 2024.

To celebrate the new collaboration, the Italian fashion house has also launched two Bulgari Aluminium Gran Turismo watches inspired by the concept.
The first is limited to just 500 pieces and features a yellow dial with black counters while the second gets an anthracite dial with yellow indices and will be capped at just 1200 watches.
The watches are expected to be priced from €5200 ($A8600).
