Global sporting icon, philanthropist, businessman and style trailblazer, David Beckham partnered up with Maserati to become their official ambassador as the brand resets and refocuses its efforts post-FCA and PSA merger on the next leg of its journey.
Becks first important duty as ambassador was to star in a short brand film called 'Two of a Kind' produced by David Beckham’s content studio called Studio 99, showcasing the innovative spirit of the Italian car brand which sees him executing some audacious driving acts in a Maserati Levante Trofeo SUV which are pretty epic.
Becks confirmed in an Instagram post that the stunts were all him, "Love doing my own stunts. Not often I get to drive like that, so much fun. Pushing boundaries with Maserati."
Paolo Tubito, Maserati Chief Marketing Officer, commented, "The Brand is moving forward, inaugurated a new Era. Maserati is driven to challenge the status quo being innovative by nature, powered by passion, and unique by design. The partnership with David is the embodiment of all these values."
Becks added, "It’s an exciting time for me to begin this partnership with Maserati; an iconic Italian brand which shares my appreciation for the very best innovation and design. I’m looking forward to working closely with the brand at such a pivotal time in their history and continuing their growth on a global scale."
This is not the first time Becks has been the face of a car brand. In 2018 he headed up the launch of Vietnamese car start-up VinFast at the Paris Motor show while in 2012, his wife Victoria 'Posh Spice' Beckham worked with Land Rover, introducing a limited-edition Range Rover Evoque launched in China.
