Camaro outcry gathers momentum
It started with an opinion piece, then we were inundated with emails and now there is even a website supporting the introduction of the Camaro in AustraliaThe mission to bring the Chevrolet Camaro muscle car to Australia, a question we posed in a recent opinion article, has gathered pace.
In addition to the initial reader responses we published last week, and on top of the emails flooding in every day, the desire among many Australians to see the Chevy Camaro on sale in Australia has invaded the social media scene -- a sign of the passion that surrounds the issue.
A new Facebook group titled "Bring the Chevrolet Camaro to Australia!" has been created, and though it's still a start-up group with only a handful of members, the momentum is building.
As the groundswell of supporters for the Chevrolet Camaro's Australian introduction grows, despite Holden's recent response that "...it's just not a viable business opportunity for us right now," there's every chance it could snowball into a movement that inspires Holden to take another look.
