Capped-price servicing now for used Skodas too
Czech car-maker extends set-price service deals to second-hand modelsSkoda Australia has introduced a capped-price service option for vehicles more than 12 months old.
Skoda’s new four-year Service Pack for used cars is applicable any time after the first 15,000km scheduled service and valid for the next four scheduled services, or totalling 60,000km (whichever comes first).
Prices start at $1200 for the Skoda Fabia and Rapid, rising to $1300 for the Yeti, Octavia and Karoq, and $1600 for the Superb and Kodiaq.
Skoda’s new used-car Service Pack joins its existing three-year and five-year Service Packs for new vehicles, which were selected by almost 60 per cent of customers so far this year.
They can be purchased up to the first 15,000km scheduled service and range between $750-$900 (three-year) and $1350-$1700 (five-year).
Skoda Australia says Service Packs represent an average saving of 30 per cent across most models and cover all items in the service schedule.
Skoda Roadside Assistance is renewed with each completed scheduled service and the packs are fully transferable upon sale of the vehicle, improving its resale value.
The Czech brand’s local chief Michael Irmer said the move is designed to make European car ownership more affordable in its biggest ever year of model launches.
“Skoda was the first European brand in Australia to move to a five-year full factory warranty,” he said.
“Such has been the success of Skoda’s new car Service Packs that the brand is now extending a four-year Service Pack to used car customers.
“In our biggest new product year since entering the Australian market in 2007, this latest cost of ownership innovation is another Skoda measure intended to make European motoring affordable to more people.”
