Captiva adds more seats
Third-row seating is now standard across mid-sized Holden softroaderAfter a strong start to 2009, that has seen the Captiva jump to the head of the Medium SUV pack, Holden is adding more value in an effort to cement its lead. Indeed, a new range of standard features will be added to the full Captiva range effective this month.
VFacts sales figures for February show Holden has sold 2052 Captivas, so far this year putting it just ahead of the Toyota Prado (2013) and well in front of traditional rivals -- Toyota Kluger (1694) and Ford Territory (1403). But with Ford set to introduce the updated Territory, Holden is keen to push home its advantage.
With the addition of third-row seats as standard on both the front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive SX models, the entire Captiva range will now be equipped with seven-seats. The SX and CX models will also receive automatic headlamps as standard.
A rear view camera and leather gear selector will be added as standard on the LX range.
The Captiva SX starts at $35,490 for the front-wheel-drive diesel with manual transmission and $37,490 for the automatic model. The SX all-wheel drive petrol V6 automatic starts at $38,490.
Prices for the CX begin at $40,490 for the petrol automatic and $41,490 for the diesel auto; both equipped with all-wheel-drive. LX tops the Captiva range at $43,990 for the petrol and $44,990 for the diesel with all-wheel drive and automatic gearbox.
