People who drive red cars have been said to be outgoing, vibrant, extroverts even. They love the attention that a red car brings, apparently. But there’s also a dark and dirty side to red car ownership that nobody speaks about.
A survey conducted by OET Cleaning Services revealed that of the 3230 respondents, 11.7 per cent of people admit to never cleaning their car! Yes, never!
And, you guessed it, a whopping 33.5 per cent of ‘I NEVER clean my car’ respondents drive red cars! Look around you folks – does this resonate?
This comes off the back of the recently reported list of gross items people have left in their cars, not that we’re judging (much).
Ok, we’re blatantly judging.
Buyers of the go-fast red car have been much maligned for their flock mentality, but we never realised the vast majority of them (surveyed) don’t clean their cars!
People were asked to rate how often they cleaned their car from once a week who come in at just 4.0 per cent, to the 11.7 per cent who never wash their cars! Middle of the pack were people who cleaned their car every six months with 41.7 per cent opting for the chore bi-annually.
The survey went on to name and shame the varying degrees of grubbiness based on car colour with black cars ranking second at 23.7 per cent followed by grey at 18.0 per cent.
Here’s the full list for your own judging/enjoyment.
