Paul Walker, best known for his starring role of Brian O’Connor in the Fast and the Furious film franchise was a petrol-head on and off the silver screen. An avid car collector, Walker also competed in the Redline Time Attack racing series, driving a BMW M3.
His collection of around 30 vehicles featured a vast variety of American muscle cars, Japanese sports cars and European classics, some of which were the exact vehicles from the Fast and the Furious films themselves. The collection also features several motorcycles.
Six years after his passing from a car accident, 21 vehicles from the collection will go under the hammer at The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auction at WestWorld of Scottsdale, January 11-19, 2020. And we are certain that they will all fetch a pretty penny.
“We’re deeply honoured to offer the amazing Paul Walker Collection at our 2020 Scottdale Auction,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Paul’s impact was immense through both his influence as an actor in the ‘Fast and the Furious’ movies and his philanthropic drive as the founder of Reach Out Worldwide. We’re proud to help continue Paul Walker’s legacy by offering his esteemed collection to their new caretakers at our flagship Scottsdale event.”
So, what vehicles will be on offer? Much like his character in the Fast and the Furious franchise, Walker liked Japanese performance cars and the 1989 Nissan R32 Skyline Race Car is a great example of that. You can even place a bid on the Nissan 370Z that featured in the Fast Five film. The 2009 model has only clocked up 2623 miles (4221 km).
From the European side of the collection, there is a 2000 Audi S4 and seven BMW M3s. Five of which are track-oriented 1995 M3 Lightweights in Alpine White, finished with the BMW Motorsport chequered flag livery. Only 125 of these BMWs were ever built.
