These French-made shades, dubbed Les Lunettes, are designed to be worn during the pm hours. And if that doesn’t make sense, here’s how they work.
Developed by auto supplier Valeo, they cut glare from oncoming cars in a scientifically explainable CSIRO-grade way.
Through pulse-width modulation, Les Lunettes synchronise with your car’s LED or laser headlights. The glare from oncoming headlights is then reduced while the perceived lumen intensity of your own car’s headlights remains bright.
This PWM technology will reduce the intensity at night of any oncoming vehicle's headlights, whether halogen, xenon, LED or laser.
During daylight hours, Valeo’s Les Lunettes are like any normal pair of sunnies.
