Zeekr has introduced a more affordable single motor option to its 009 people-mover line-up, cutting entry into the electric van range by $20,000.
Available as a seven-seater only, the more affordable 2026 Zeekr 009 front-wheel drive (FWD) uses the same 116kWh lithium-ion battery pack found in dual-motor variants, making it good for a claimed 604km of driving range.
That’s up on the 582km of claimed range offered in 450kW all-wheel drive (AWD) variants, however, modest outputs of 250kW/373Nm from the FWD make it slower to 100km/h from standstill, at a claimed 7.9 seconds compared to the AWD’s 4.5 sec claim.
Charging capability also takes a hit, with the single motor only able to recharge at up to 150kW on DC power while 10-80 per cent can be achieved in a claimed 30 minutes, as per the dual motor which is rated up to 205kW (DC).

An identical 11kW AC charge rate is shared across the line-up, said to recharge from 0-100 per cent in 13.5 hours.
Zeekr said the new FWD variant nabs the same premium equipment as AWD models including Nappa leather-accented upholstery, tri-zone climate control, a 15-inch infotainment screen with wireless smartphone mirroring, a 35-inch augmented reality head-up display, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster for the driver, and a massive 17-inch 3K OLED rear entertainment screen.
The 2026 Zeekr 009 FWD rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, rather the larger 20s on AWD variants.
There’s also an 8.6-litre fridge with heating and cooling, ventilated front seats, massage and ventilation for second row seats, wireless phone charging, 30-speaker Yamaha surround-sound system, and full suite of driver assist and safety aids.

The 2026 Zeekr 009 FWD is available to order now, with the brand promising “no model year changes for at least the next 12-18 months”.
