Chrysler concepts to wow Detroit

Chrysler-Jeep is set to unveil two stunning new concepts at the January 7-21 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Traditionally the venue for the big US brands to wow the crowds with hot concepts and production-ready showcars, it seems this New Year’s Motor Cityshow will be no exception.

Chrysler and Jeep have leaked sketches of two top-notch showcars it will unveil. And with a history of quickly transferring concepts to reality, don’t bet against the two pictured hereabouts making it into a showroom near you within this decade.

The Chrysler Nassau concept is a four-door, four-passenger luxury coupe with what Chrysler describes as “an emphasis on driving dynamics.”

Says the carmaker: “The [Nassau’s] artistic exterior design leans toward an exploration as to what could be a future sedan in the brand's lineup. The Chrysler Nassau concept highlights sweeping curves to define the front and rear fasciae.”

Jeep’s contribution to Detroit is the Trailhawk Concept . Says the offroad icon: “Trailhawk merges the spectrum of the Jeep brand by combining the core features of the Jeep Wrangler with the sophistication of the Jeep Grand Cherokee.”

Built on the new and significantly refined 2007 Wrangler platform, Trailhawk taps into "Jeep Rugged" says the maker.

Jeep claims the concept provides “classic proportions, unsurpassed off-road capability and a new approach to open-air freedom.”
