The Berlingo commercial van range has been updated for 2012 with the availability of two body styles, a pair of revised engines, additional equipment and improved pricing.
The standard (SWB) Berlingo is powered by a (66kW) 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine while the long body (LWB) model receives a (66kW) 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel unit, now outputting an additional 83Nm of torque.
Long wheelbase Berlingo also boasts an increase in carrying volume of 0.4 cubic metres to 3.7 cubic metres and adds Bluetooth telephony and a rear cargo mat as standard.
Both models provide a number of nifty cubby holes in the cabin totalling a massive 61 litres of storage space.
“The second generation Berlingo retains all the successful key ingredients of its predecessor, which were valued by discerning van customers and builds upon these to redefine the benchmark in this all-important sector,” explained Citroen Australia general manager, Miles Williams.
“Citroen has worked closely with business operators around the world to ensure that the new Berlingo provides the optimum combination of load carrying efficiency, driver/passenger comfort and safety, performance and economy.”
Available now, the 2012 Citroen Berlingo range starts at $19,990 (MRLP) for the SWB petrol model and $22,990 (MRLP) for the LWB diesel.
