Here is the new-generation Rolls-Royce Ghost in all its glory.
Underpinned by an aluminium space-frame chassis that’s shared with the Cullinan SUV and latest Phantom flagship sedan, the all-new Ghost will bring a range of firsts when it arrives in Australia next year.
These include all-wheel drive, rear-wheel steering, ‘Magic Carpet’ suspension with ‘Planer’ camera-scanning tech, a satnav-linked transmission and a lavish new interior that blends analogue, old-school design with the latest technology including an array of touch-screens that appear only when required.
While the Ghost limo’s trademark suicide rear doors carry over and its exterior design remains evolutionary, its opulent but understated styling is significantly smoother and aimed at a ‘post-bling’ world.
Under its long bonnet and redesigned grille is expected to be the same twin-turbo 6.75-litre V12 as seen in the Cullinan, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and delivering at least 450kW/900Nm.
