COMING SOON: 2021 Skoda Enyaq
Skoda electric SUV could sail away with the title of first VW Group MEB EV Down UnderA global debut of the Skoda Enyaq in its home capital of Prague may be cause for a celebration, but there could also be extra kudos coming for the electric SUV from Down Under.
If, that is, the Czech car-maker’s new EV flagship is the first next-generation Volkswagen Group battery-electric vehicle to go on sale in Australia.
The Skoda Enyaq is built on VW Group’s new dedicated-EV platform, MEB, employing the same mechanicals as the Golf-sized Volkswagen ID.3 hatch and its SUV stablemate, the Volkswagen ID.4.
But as it stands, the Skoda is the hot favourite to beat its VW cousins to market Down Under.
