The Holden Commodore has gained its sixth successive victory in the annual Carsales Network People's Choice awards.
The competition was tough, but Holden's best seller came up trumps again in 2008
Competing in the Large Car category, the VE model came home ahead of impressive competition in the form of Ford's FG Falcon range, as well as Honda's new four and six-cylinder Accord models.
GM Holden Executive Director for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, Alan Batey, said: "Customer accolades are the ultimate recognition and reflect the fact that Commodore has been the bestselling vehicle in Australia for the past 12 years.
"To receive this honour for the sixth year in a row is something that makes everyone at Holden very proud," said Batey.
The Holden was helped along during the year by the insertion into the range of the slick new Sportswagon.
