France's Ministry of Interior has released the first pictures of two of 26 Alpine A110 sports cars it has bought for its national police force.
Painted in a dark blue with a special livery that includes bonnet, roof and boot lid stripes, plus a reflective wrap on the nose and rear, the Alpine A110 pursuit car also gets a flashing blue light on the roof that is supplemented by a further four blue light units in the front and rear screen.

Slightly obscuring the driver's rear view is also a rear dot matrix LED sign that can broadcast messages to those behind.
Underneath the bonnet, it's believed the A110's 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine remains untouched, meaning the cops will have 185kW and 320Nm of torque at their disposal – enough for a 4.5sec 0-100km/h time and a 250km/h top speed.
Interestingly, the police have upsized the base model's 17-inch wheels to larger 18-inch rims.
Inside, there's plumbed-in communications equipment, plus a second touch-screen ahead of the front passenger seat to access the French police database.
The French police said their A110 sports cars will be used for both high-speed pursuits and operations carried out by the force's drug squad.
