The unveiling will take place in Melbourne’s Dockland precinct. There, the new updated Commodore will debut in front of a crowd of invited guests, Holden employees, media and VIPs. But you can be there too! Well, you can see it live at least.
motoring.com.au will stream a live webcast of the Docklands unveiling commencing at around 10:35am this Sunday (Feb 10). In addition to the live stream, we will also publish images of the new VF as well as details behind its design – inside and out... Plus key technology take outs.
The new VF is not expected to go on sale til mid-year so Holden is sure to keep its powder dry on many VF details. Significant fuel savings are expected to be highlighted – thanks to aluminium panels and overall reduced weight, electric power steering and other detailed changes.
This Sunday’s unveiling will likely commence a drip-feed of facts, figures, images and ‘spin’ as the car maker seeks to re-engage the public with its iconic large car. In January, Holden sold just over 1650 Commodore sedans and wagons – a poor performance in a market that delivered record or near-record registration figures for many models.
