A new version of the Czinger 21C has been released that’s designed for flat-out top-speed runs, with the US hypercar-maker aiming to break the 300mph (483km/h) barrier.
Following in the tyre tracks of the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, the new 2022 Czinger 21C V Max gets a longer tail and goes without a rear wing in a bid to slash drag.
To ensure the 21C V Max is as slippery as possible, the American hypercar has made numerous design tweaks that include a revised front splitter, smaller side skirts and a pair of huge side air intakes.
At the rear, the tailpipes have been relocated to the rear engine cover while a simpler diffuser joins the party.
Carbon-fibre wheel covers have also been added.
Beneath the rear boot lid the twin-turbocharged 2.88-litre V8 hybrid powertrain carries over unchanged, producing the same mind-numbing 919kW as the standard version.
That means the V Max should still blend a pure-electric range of 20km with 0-100km/h acceleration in 1.9 seconds, while Czinger claims 0-300km/h is reached in an astonishing 13.8sec.
Czinger has not announced how much faster the 21C V Max will go compared the regular 21C, which in low-drag mode tops out at 452km/h.
There’s no word yet when the 21C V Max will go on sale, nor how much of a premium it will command over the regular 21C that’s priced from $US1.7 million ($A2.5m).
