Deal hunter: $1000 off GWM Ute
Even more value thrown into GWM Ute Cannon-L 4x4 as Mitsubishi ASX and Citroen C3 follow suitValue for money is at the core of the GWM Ute, but the Australian branch of the Chinese car-maker is making the dual-cab even more attractive with a $1000 discount on 2022 models of the Cannon-L 4x4.
This is a mid-series version of the 4x4 GWM Ute line-up and normally retails for $42,490 drive-away.
The part-time four-wheel drive system (with low-range and a locking rear differential) combines with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 120kW/400Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine.
There’s a high level of standard equipment on the Cannon-L, and with good supplies in dealerships across Australia, the $1000 discount for 2022-plated models provides an added incentive for prospective buyers.
If a small SUV holds more appeal than a mid-size ute, the latest deal on the Mitsubishi ASX is worth considering.
The mid-range sports-themed version, the Mitsubishi ASX MR, is currently on sale for $30,990 drive-away for 2022-plated cars.
That marks a considerable saving over the manufacturer’s recommended retail price of $29,240 plus on-road costs, which normally pushes up well beyond $30,990 when those ORCs are factored in.
The MR is easily distinguishable by its black 18-inch alloy wheels and exterior trim, while inside you’ll find red stitching, a six-speaker sound system, 8.0-inch infotainment system, automatic headlights and push-button start.
If you’re after something European, the 2022 Citroen C3 Shine is still on sale for $34,990 drive-away, with the added bonus of free metallic paint.
That’s a useful saving on Australia’s only Citroen C3 variant, which usually sells for $32,267 plus on-road costs, plus another $690 for the optional metallic paint.
Standard equipment highlights on Citroen’s small car include a six-speaker sound system, satellite navigation, smartphone mirroring, climate control and keyless entry.
