The new Tesla Model 3 is making a strong impact on the sales charts in Australia, but Polestar has thrown down the gauntlet with an incredible deal on its 2024 Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor.
No less than $10,000 has been slashed from the manufacturer’s recommended retail list price, meaning the Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor – part of a range that was highly commended in carsales’ 2023 Car of the Year awards – is now available for just $66,400 plus on-road costs.
Elsewhere in the fast-growing EV segment, the 2024 Ford E-Transit 420L is currently on sale from $99,990 drive-away.
That’s a considerable saving compared to the battery-electric delivery van’s usual starting price of $104,990 plus on-road costs – and given the discount also includes the ORCs, that translates to a saving of around $10,000, depending on the state or territory in which you live.
If you’re after a more conventional, but still highly regarded, small SUV, the 2023 Volkswagen T-Roc CityLife automatic is currently available for $36,990 drive-away.
The T-Roc CityLife normally retails for $35,990 plus on-road costs, so that represents a significant saving once the ORCs are taken into account.
Prices have also recently increased for the 2024 model year, so the value on this 2023 T-Roc is clear.
