French marques might not always be able to compete with Asian manufacturers for retail prices or range diversity, but by golly do they do a good sale.
Take for example the one currently available for the 2023 Citroen C3 Shine automatic, from which Citroen has scraped off all the on-road costs and discounted the retail price by almost $1300.
What are the starting and finishing figures, you ask? The C3 Shine usually retails for $32,267 plus ORCs but can currently be had from just $30,990 drive-away, saving consumers upwards of $5000 depending on which state or territory they live in.
Jeep is another auto brand fond of a good sale and this one concerns the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Night Eagle 4x4 automatic – the entry-level variant of the new-generation Grand Cherokee line-up.
What Jeep has done here is scrap all the big off-road SUV’s on-road costs to offer the Toyota LandCruiser rival from $77,950 drive-away, saving customers nearly $10,000 in pesky additional statutory charges, which can instead be put towards some off-road accessories, all-terrain tyres or a new camper trailer.
Finally this week, those in the market for a new commercial van might be tempted by LDV’s latest offer, in which $1500 has been skimmed off the ABN drive-away price of the 2023 LDV G10+ automatic.
Instead of the usual $35,490 drive-away figure, at the moment ABN holders can drive their new commercial van away from $33,990 with no more to pay.
