Deal hunter: Bonus and free servicing for Hyundai Tucson

Plus heavily discounted on-road price for Ford Ranger, and specced-up BMW 320i drive-away deal

There’s a new-generation Hyundai Tucson arriving here in May, and the importer is rolling out stock of the current car ahead of that arrival.

The current Tucson remains a very adept vehicle, and buyers in the market for a diesel model with all-wheel drive and automatic will be very pleased to partake of the run-out offer on the table.

Normally priced at $40,440 plus on-road costs, the Hyundai Tucson Active X all-wheel drive diesel with auto transmission is currently selling for $40,990 drive-away. And the enticement to buy doesn’t end there.

Hyundai is also offering buyers a $750 bonus, and if the vehicle is purchased with help from Hyundai Finance, the buyer will pay nothing for two of the car’s scheduled maintenance services at Hyundai dealers.

So not only are you paying just $550 for the statutory charges, Hyundai will pay that back – plus an extra $200 – and you won’t pay anything for servicing over the next two years or 30,000km, whichever occurs first.

Another great deal doing the rounds at the moment is the Ford Ranger XLS 4x4 dual-cab pick-up with 3.2-litre engine and automatic transmission.

This variant in Ford’s popular ute comes with a price tag of $52,490 before applying the stamp duty, registration and compulsory third-party insurance.

But Ford is currently paying the on-road costs and offering buyers a discounted price to boot – just $48,990 to drive the Ranger out of the showroom.

Buyers casting around for a passenger car instead – and one with a prestige badge as well – will be attracted to the BMW 320i M Sport sedan with automatic transmission.

This variant of the 3 Series sedan normally sells for $70,900 plus on-road costs, but BMW is currently promoting the 320i M Sport for $74,900, which includes not only the on-road charges but also the ‘Visibility Package’ that normally sells for $4100. Dealers are extending a finance offer as well.

As stock continues to return to the new-car showrooms of Australia, now is clearly the time to buy.
