Like the idea of owning a Ford Ranger 4x4 dual-cab XLS but can’t face paying a price tag well over $50,000 by the time you're driving it out of the showroom?
Ford has a solution: The company has dropped the price of the 3.2-litre auto ute (regular retail price $51,890) to just $46,490 and absorbed the on-road costs. That’s a saving of $5400 without even considering the thousands saved on the first year of registration and compulsory third-party insurance. This deal applies to 2019-plated models.
The Ranger is the stand-out deal on offer this week, but if your preferred new-car purchase is an SUV, maybe the Toyota Kluger GX is more your cup of tea. Toyota will sell you a 2019-plated Kluger GX front-wheel drive for $42,990, including on-road costs. Normally the Kluger retails for $44,850, so there’s a saving of $1860 in addition to the ORCs. As a bonus, buy a 2019 Kluger GX FWD with metallic paint and that is gratis too; you won't be paying the $600 Toyota usually asks for the option.
Mazda is another brand that’s clearing stock of a 2019 model. The Mazda6 Sport sedan is currently up for grabs priced at just $33,990 drive-away. That’s a discount of $500 on the price alone, before taking into account the saved cost of registration and insurance.
As they say in the classics, the dealers are standing by to take your call. Just remember: no hand shake to sign off the purchase.
