Deal hunter: Drive-away pricing and free servicing for new Suzuki S-Cross

And Mitsubishi Triton GLX-R on-roads scraped, while MG3 comes with a free gift

Suzuki Australia is offering a tasty deal on its new 2023 Suzuki S-Cross ALLGRIP automatic, which is now available for $42,990 drive-away – with three years of free scheduled servicing thrown in as well.

The driveaway offer marks an immediate saving of at least a couple of grand in on-road statutory costs for the small SUV – depending on the state or territory of purchase – given the base S-Cross usually carries a retail price of $40,990 plus ORCs, but the three-year free servicing offer injects another $1100 worth of value into the equation.

The new Suzuki S-Cross is powered by a 103kW/220Nm 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that needs servicing every 10,000km or 12 months – whichever comes first – and drives all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission as standard on all variants.

It’s worth noting, however, this offer isn’t available in Queensland or northern New South Wales.

Mitsubishi’s latest drive-away offer on the 2023 Mitsubishi Triton GLX-R MR Double Cab 4x4 automatic is, however, with ABN holders able to scoop up the mid-high-spec dual-cab 4x4 ute for $50,990 with no more to pay.

Private buyers can get in on the act too, but they’ll need to front up an extra $500 ($51,490 drive-away), which still represents an impressive saving over the usual $47,940 plus ORCs price.

How much are you saving? It depends on the state or territory you live in, but in Western Australia – where statutory costs are higher than in other states – buyers can comfortably save in excess of $3500.

Meanwhile, MG Motor Australia is persevering with its permanent drive-away pricing model and currently offers the 2023 MG3 Core Nav automatic for $19,990 with no more to pay – plus a “complimentary gift”, which in this instance is an MG-branded bottle of wine.
