Ford has continued its promotional pricing with the 2022 Ford Puma ST-Line, which is currently on sale for $34,500 drive-away – down from a usual recommended retail price of $32,690 plus on-road costs.
That scrapes a lot of money from the bottom line of the invoice for the Blue Oval brand’s accomplished small SUV, with the final asking price dependent on the state or territory in which it’s purchased.
WA buyers, for example, can expect a saving of around $2500, based on Ford Australia’s configurator that shows the mid-series ST-Line would normally cost $36,966 by the time it’s on the road – without options – in Perth.
Those chasing something even smaller than the pint-sized Puma may be tempted by the 2022 Kia Picanto GT-Line automatic’s current $20,990 drive-away offer.
The GT-Line is the penultimate Picanto variant and comes with most of the range-topping GT’s goodies but forgoes the peppy turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine.
In its place is a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre four-cylinder paired in this instance to a four-speed automatic transmission, hence the lower $19,040 plus ORCs sticker prices compared to the GT’s $20,490 opening marker.
At $20,990 drive-away, the deal on the Picanto GT-Line auto represents significant saving and frees up funds that could be used elsewhere or spent on a few optional extras.
For the commercial sector, ABN holders are still able to nab a 2022 Hyundai Staria Load automatic from $47,990 drive-away.
Again marking a serious reduction from the usual on-the-road pricing, the Staria Load is the newest and safest mid-size van on the market and usually starts from $45,740 plus on-road costs.
