Deal hunter: Ford Ranger with discounted drive-away pricing

There may be a new Ford Ranger on the way, but Ford is still going gangbusters with the current model.

And keeping interest alive, Ford is offering great deals on its one-tonne light-commercial range, including this one for the Ford Ranger 4x4 XLT dual-cab pick-up with 3.2-litre engine and automatic transmission.

Rather than pay the manufacturer’s retail list price of $59,690, buyers can get into this model for just $58,990, which not only includes the stamp duty, registration and compulsory third-party insurance, it’s also discounted by a further $700. What a deal!

In the market for a small SUV at a very affordable price? How about the MG ZST Vibe, which currently offers great value.

Instead of paying $25,990 for the ZST, you can put it on the road for $26,990 with free metallic paint. MG dealers normally charge $700 for the metallic paint, so you’re getting this car at a drive-away price just $300 more than the manufacturer’s retail list price.

Another bargain on offer this week is the BMW 320i sedan with auto transmission.

Not only do you get the 320i on the road for $75,900, BMW is throwing in a visibility package – which is normally an option costing $3692 – and a $3000 trade-in bonus.

There’s also a finance deal on the table, with scheduled servicing for five years (the term of the loan) or 80,000km.

Normally the 320i in this specification sells for $71,570 before the on-road costs are added for a drive-away price.

The visibility package includes metallic paint, a glass sunroof and BMW Laserlight headlights, offering over $7000 in extra value in combination with the other incentives in this deal – and that’s to say nothing of the trade-in bonus.

These are ideal bargains to set yourself up in time for Christmas.
