The redoubtable Ford Ranger is the subject of a current sales campaign at Ford dealers, who are offering buyers the 2021 Ford Ranger XLS 4x4 dual-cab 3.2-litre variant for just $48,490 on the road.
That includes the cost of stamp duty, registration and compulsory third-party insurance, plus a discount of $4000 off the manufacturer’s retail list price. And that’s a lot of ute for less than $50,000 drive-away.
Another brand doing drive-away deals is Mitsubishi, which is offering buyers a discount of $1000 off the manufacturer’s retail list price of $62,990 for the 2021 Mitsubishi Pajero Exceed.
That puts the buyer behind the wheel and on the road of a new Pajero Exceed for $61,990 – and saving the registration, stamp duty and compulsory third-party insurance as well.
Buyers can also get into a 2021 Kia Cerato Sport – either hatch or sedan, with automatic transmission – for $26,490 on the road.
That’s the price you would normally expect to pay for this variant of Cerato, but with the statutory costs charged separately.
